Cinnamon Apple Whiskey Sour

  1. 8 TBSP bourbon whiskey 
  2. 1 C dry, hard apple cider
  3. 4 TBSP. simple syrup (just equal parts sugar and water boiled up)
  4. 2 Dashes of Angostura bitters
  5. Juice of 2 lemons
  6. 1 Apple, cored and thinly sliced
  7. 1/4 C cinnamon
  8. 1/4 C sugar
  9. 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
  1. Mix the cinnamon and sugar in a shallow bowl. Set aside.
  2. Pour the whiskey, simple syrup, bitters and lemon juice into a bar shaker. Add ice cubes, cover and shake for 10 seconds.
  3. Strain the ice and pour into prepared glasses. Top with cider.
  4. Run each slice of apple through the cinnamon/sugar mixture and drop as a garnish in each drink. Spear with the rosemary sprig.
  5. Bottoms up.
  1. If you WANT, you can mix in an egg white before you add the cider. A true sour has this element.
