A Weekend in New York City

"It'd be a shame to miss New York in the spring"

- Tom Hanks, You've Got Mail

A few months ago my family along with some great friends drove down to New York City to spend quite possibly the best weekend ever.

Ripped black high waisted jeans - H&M
Black booties - Le Chateau

Every night we dolled up and ventured out to find a nice restaurant. Half of the fun was getting ready with Mum & Dad in the hotel room. We stayed at the Lotte New York Palace which is where part of Gossip Girl was filmed. Felt like Serena for the weekend, and that was Pretty cool.

Whoever really know me, knows that my all time favourite movie in the history of the universe is "You've Got Mail", so taking a beautiful Saturday to explore the upper west side almost made my romantic comedy lovin' heart explode. We went to "Cafe Lalo" where Meg Ryan patiently awaits for NY152 (Tom Hanks) to meet her. Surreal. Mom and I were grinning ear to ear and fan girling the entire time. After, we hit up 91st street garden where they finally meet at the end of the movie.

On our last day we explored Central Park. Overall, I couldn't get over how ALIVE this city feels day and night. There's a constant flow of energy that was impossible to ignore. I think I left my heart in New York city.
